Mindful Stretching Yin Yoga

Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing techniques, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress. Once in this state one can really become aware of the body therefore being able to release deeply into the stretch, letting go of tightness and increasing flexibility.


Mastering your Breath and Meditation

Spending too much time planning, problem-solving, daydreaming, or thinking negative or random thoughts can be draining. It can also make you more likely to experience stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. Gaining control of the natural flow of your breathing through mindfulness exercises and techniques will help you direct your attention away from this kind of thinking and connect with yourself in the present moment. Bringing you to a place of peace and calm. It all begins with the breath.



The aim of this class is to unite the breath with the movements of the body. Moving dynamically from one posture immediately into another, following the breath. This continuous flow of movement and breathing generates a meditative state, encouraging practitioners to let go of thought and focus on experience of the present moment. In FLOW, each movement into or out of a posture is timed with an inhalation or an exhalation. The flowing movements may sometimes be combined with some longer holds of certain postures however the breath continues to FLOW.
